The inspiration for this Website comes from the many tragic stories one listens to and gets to hear from the popular media. Despite years of effort from many reformers, this evil has simply refused to die down.

The economic growth we have seen in recent days - instead of helping to temper the greed for money - has infact fuelled it!

The mission of NoDowry.net is to raise awareness, inculcate a sense of purpose, shame those who practice Dowry, build a network of those who are against it and provide the tools necessary to create a dowry-free society.

To these ends, our journey has begun :-)
